The cabinet is made of painted MDF with a thin frame, and the upper and lower panels are in different colors. The microwave and oven are built into the column on one side, while the refrigerator is on the other; there is also a 60 cm induction cooktop and a built-in extractor. The customer firmly refused a dishwasher, and all the space freed up was used for storing food, dishes, and small household items.
The client is an amazing 59-year-old woman. She will live in the apartment with her husband, but she designed it primarily for herself: she made all the decisions regarding the project on her own, with the concept centered around her. The client leads an active lifestyle but also enjoys relaxing, resting, and appreciating beauty—hence the interior features both brighter and quieter areas to suit different moods and states of mind. The project was designed by designer Darya Voronina.

The layout was not changed: when purchasing the apartment, the buyer understood that all the existing spaces were sufficient for her, and she had no intention of moving or combining anything. There is a kitchen, living room, bedroom, wardrobe, hallway, and a separate bathroom.
Watch the video:
"I based the apartment’s concept on the visual images associated with the client, " explains the designer. "She reminds me of a blooming peony, spring, and the color of fresh green. That’s why all the spaces feature floral patterns — from the bathrooms to the bedroom. The apartment’s overall background is light, but it’s still full of color: I added subtle shades through decor, standalone, and built-in furniture, emphasizing contrasting color combinations."
Both the concept and the layout were shaped by the homeowner’s lifestyle and interests. She loves cooking, hosting gatherings, and inviting friends over — which is why a spacious L-shaped kitchen with a large work surface and a foldable table was created.
The print for the Roman shade was discovered by chance—and caught the homeowner’s attention even more because of its resemblance to the ceramic panel in the bathroom.
Linoleum was used for flooring, chosen due to limited budget constraints. The kitchen countertop and backsplash, however, are made of natural stone, giving the main working area a cohesive and practical look. Every piece of furniture and decoration here is intentional, selected to match the atmosphere intended for the client. The favorite piece is the chair in the living room by the window—it’s particularly cozy, making one reluctant to leave.
A wardrobe with open hangers, a soft seat, and enclosed storage was made for the entryway.
The wall finishing throughout the entire apartment is wallpaper. This was the client’s personal choice — she feels most comfortable with this material. Special attention deserves the panel in the bedroom, at the head of the bed; it was custom-made in the desired shade and size, and it is from which the project’s name originated. During the visualization discussions, this element pleased the homeowner the most, and she exclaimed, “I’ve always dreamed of a house by the sea; now I’ll sleep under palm trees!”
The designer made minor adjustments to the bedside table in the bedroom by installing different handles. She planned to remove the barely noticeable brush on the chandelier that came with it, but it stayed in place and provided the color scheme for the bedding and carpet.
All storage systems were custom-made. This certainly increases the budget, but it was the only option. The homeowner wanted to keep the storage niche provided by the developer open, so a P-shaped storage system was installed there, providing space for a robot vacuum, a foldable ironing board, an electrical panel, and various storage solutions. A foldable chair was placed in the niche, along with evening lighting.Additional storage spaces are available in the bed with a lifting mechanism and in the sofa as well.
Following the client’s personal preferences, the bathrooms were kept separate. In the bathroom, above the built-in bathtub, there is a ceramic panel featuring blooming peonies. There is also a laundry cabinet with plenty of storage space and a wall-mounted unit with a countertop sink.
In the restroom, the “floral” theme continued with wallpaper applied over the ceramic panels, and above the installation was a cabinet for storing household chemicals, complete with night lighting in a niche.
