Even during the inspection, the project owner assessed the apartment’s potential: proper room geometry, a spacious bathroom, well-placed utilities, and a beautiful view from the window. Despite being on the second floor, the windows face the forest, creating an atmosphere of comfort and solitude. During the redesign, the kitchen was combined with the living room, and the sleeping area was reorganized.

The kitchen is designed in a sleek blue color. There is a built-in mini-fridge here, while a regular microwave is located behind a front panel. The washing machine is also hidden in a spacious cabinet in the hallway. The kitchen seems to be integrated into a row of white cabinets that start in the entryway and continue beyond the kitchen set.

Practical materials are necessary for an apartment rented on a daily basis. Therefore, the floors in the living room, bedroom, and balcony are covered with quartz vinyl, while the hallway and bathroom use dark, large-format tiles. The walls are painted in white-gray — they can be easily repainted before the start of the new tourist season.

The loggia was insulated and connected to the apartment, separated by a beautiful arched opening. Its interior is decorated in a striking blue color. The balcony now has a cozy area for relaxing.

The interior features many right angles and strict geometry, so it was important to soften the space with gentle shapes. That’s how the idea for a circular window between the bathroom and living room came about. Not only does the circular window look unusual on its own, but a circular mirror was also hung from the ceiling in the bathroom, and an RGBW LED strip was installed on the back wall. The light from the window colors the entire living room and bathroom—thanks to the white walls.

In the living room, there is a modular blue sofa with impact-resistant upholstery; a footstool is placed next to it or serves as an additional seating area. In the TV area, a cabinet with mirrored fronts seems to blend into the space. The bed is located on a platform near the window and is separated by a curtain: the platform defines clear boundaries for the sleeping area, while the curtain allows for complete privacy if desired.

The main area in the bathroom is the tiled shower. It’s large and comfortable, without a feeling of being enclosed. The sink is also spacious, allowing all the bottles and small items to be neatly arranged without the need for extra storage cabinets — everything needed is within easy sight, just like in hotels. There’s a shelf in the bathroom where additional items can be stored. The walls are painted with waterproof paint.

The greatest pride is the idea of having a mirror in the bathroom. I don’t remember how the idea came to place LED strips on the back of the mirror, but the effect was incredible. During nighttime, the apartment transforms into something unrecognizable.
