The bedroom space is often small, yet a lot of different items need to be stored, from clothes and bedding accessories to cosmetics and small items. To make the most of a small area, it's important to carefully plan and organize storage at every stage. Start with the largest items like a wardrobe and bed, and gradually move to smaller details.

1. Organize the Wardrobe

Carefully plan where and how clothes and accessories will be stored. A walk-in closet or built-in wardrobe is an excellent scalable solution. To save space, you can design the wardrobe behind the bed or separate it with heavy curtains.

Carefully plan internal organization: use boxes with dividers, double hangers, special shoe boxes, and other auxiliary elements.

2. Use Space Under the Bed

Since the bed itself already takes up a lot of space, try to use it to its fullest. For this purpose, the sleeping area can be supplemented with sliding drawers, woven baskets, plastic containers, or a bed with a lifting mechanism where storage space is located inside.

3. Choose Multi-Functional Furniture

Chests, poufs, and ottomans - we don't use them as often as we think, considering they take up space, but in fact, these are multi-functional items that can help organize storage in the bedroom.

A chest can serve as a nightstand, additional seating space, and it can hold many items inside, from bedding and extra linens to seasonal clothing.

The same applies to poufs and ottomans with built-in storage: they can serve as a soft chair for applying makeup or getting dressed and also provide additional space for various items.

4. Think Vertically

Use height: shelves up to the ceiling, wall-mounted shelves, built-in elements above the headboard. These elements help store many necessary items while saving precious space.

5. Use the Bed to Its Full Potential

Besides the space under the bed, there is also the headboard and side surfaces that can be used to store small items and accessories. Books and magazines can be placed in the headboard, the bed base can be supplemented with shallow shelves, and even hanging pockets can be used for storing small items.
