WEZO Hotel by WEDO Design

WEZO is more than just a synthesis combining accommodation, dining, bar, art culture and lifestyle; it's also a platform for brand collections. It creates an artistic and living circle, as well as a space for social interaction among urban youth. Essentially, WEZO is a blend of diverse lifestyles, culture, art and business.

From a business perspective, the key to successful hotel operations lies in room occupancy. However, WEZO aims for more than that. It is not just a hotel designed with architectural aesthetics in mind, but also a space for people to connect over shared businesses or interests. It is a cultural hub that brings together individuals. Therefore, we call it a 'social hotel'. WEZO is more of a cultural brand than an ordinary hotel.

The hotel has a unique positioning: entering inside, you feel like opening a 'blind box' from the outside to the inside. The transitional hall space features a bridge over water, with a simplified design that matches the tone of light luxury style. Upon entering WEZO, you will see a well-balanced spatial layout forming a zigzag movement line. The classic glass brick wall, decorative elements in the form of wooden horses and pillars from India, Western stone with electric fireplace, geometric pendant light - all these combine elements of Eastern and Western aesthetics.

Entering the shop with an unexpected selection, you will feel a castle-like atmosphere. The exhibition hall flow design is quite romantic. Corridor-style decoration combined with wooden panels creates a somewhat classical ambiance.

The vintage-style open café and bar. Guests can stay for some time, as the space is designed in the form of an original stone arch garden.

WEZO resembles a picture of an Eastern cozy courtyard and landscape combining stones, waterfalls, trees, huts and bar.

The rooftop tea house with glazed walls and thatched roof is quite interesting. You can see the city while enjoying sunlight through a small window when sitting at a square table inside.

41 rooms are located on floors 2 through 7. Room designs are simple yet relaxing and comfortable. WEZO places special emphasis on the guest experience, creating a traditional Chengdu lifestyle using antique furniture.

Within the concept of 'City Renewal', the Shaocheng district is currently undergoing changes. WEZO was transformed from a gas company office building constructed in the 1980s. How to utilize this old structure, add a new business form and integrate into the neighborhood? WEZO attracts new people to the old Chengdu quarter in a unique way, participating in the local community through diversity and openness. It connects different groups thanks to its uniqueness. After interaction, opportunities for creativity arise; the idea of urban renewal always emerges from such people in a small place. This is happening right now at WEZO.
