House Trucus by Gerardo Boyanse Ancone

The House Trucus by Gerardo Boyanse Ancone in Mexico represents a unique residential project with a linear layout and an internal courtyard, parallel to the program. Social and living areas are located on the first floor, while service areas are on the upper level. Internal spaces are connected continuously, with the kitchen designed as a universal space integrating with the terrace and becoming a significant social area. This house demonstrates functional design and effective use of its environment.

The development of the project largely responded to the rectangular typology of the plot (10m x 34m) and orientation factors (east-west). With a program area of 227.31 m² distributed over two floors.

The concept was to create a linear layout generating an internal courtyard parallel to the program, with direct connections to any space in the house. Social and living areas were placed on the first floor, while service areas were on the upper level.

On the first floor, internal spaces were solved continuously with many transparent elements in social areas and fewer in private ones. Each space has views and fresh air access thanks to the internal courtyard.

The kitchen, which for the user was a less significant space, was designed as a universal area (kitchen/bar), integrating with the terrace and becoming a large social and central zone of the house. Additionally, it is located at the center of the program, providing direct connections to other rooms.
