Located in the picturesque outskirts of St. Petersburg, the summer pavilion by Horomystudio is a remarkable architectural comfort that seamlessly integrates into the surrounding nature. Created by Olga Vetoševa and Edward Zakharov, this innovative project offers an immersive experience that adapts to each season, allowing residents and guests to enjoy the beauty of nature in comfort and style.

Design Based on Transparency and Connection

A standout feature of the pavilion is its sliding glass walls—three-meter panels that can be fully opened or closed depending on weather conditions. These glass elements, supported by hidden metal columns, create a transparent boundary that provides uninterrupted views of the surrounding forest and nearby river. The result is an open, well-lit space that enhances the feeling of being outdoors while ensuring comfort and warmth.

Natural Materials and Elegant Simplicity

Horomystudio's commitment to natural materials is evident in every element of the pavilion:

• Mahogany covers the walls and ceiling, adding warmth and richness to the minimalist design.
• Floors made of marble limestone provide a smooth yet tactile surface, elevated above ground level to emphasize the pavilion's lightness.
• All furniture is crafted from natural wood, strengthening the connection between interior and exterior spaces.

All-Year Comfort

The pavilion’s layout is designed with versatility in mind:

• The living room with comfortable furniture promotes relaxation and conversation.

Despite its openness, part of the pavilion is heated, providing warmth during cold months. The decision to limit full heating aligns with the project’s philosophy, emphasizing ecological responsibility and mindful energy usage.

The pavilion’s design takes seasonal changes into account:

• In summer, the glass walls can be fully opened to let fresh air and natural sounds inside.
• In spring rain or autumn wind, one can feel the weather from a cozy terrace, watching the landscape transform.
