Park Hyatt Milano Hotel by Flaviano Capriotti Architetti: Eternal Luxury in Milan
A New Chapter for a Legendary Hotel
Located in the historic center of Milan, within walking distance of the Cathedral and Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, the Park Hyatt Milano Hotel has unveiled new rooms designed by Flaviano Capriotti Architetti. Continuing their work on the renowned Mio Lab cocktail bar and Pellico 3 high cuisine restaurant, Capriotti expands their vision into symbolic rooms, reinforcing the hotel's role as one of Milan’s most prestigious destinations.
Concept: Literature, Culture and Design
The design reflects a dialogue between Milan's cultural identity and timeless hospitality. Capriotti drew inspiration from masters of post-war Italian design, including Franco Albini, Joe Ponti, Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Angelo Mangiarotti, Ignazio Gardella and Enzo Mari, adding a gentle narrative thread of literature and poetry. The rooms become urban sanctuaries, places of quiet elegance where the city's life filters through the lens of modest luxury.
Symbolic Rooms: Duomo, Montenapoleone and Brera
Each of the three rooms—Duomo, Montenapoleone and Brera—shares a design language characterized by functional clarity, noble materials and modest luxury.
Duomo Room: Located on the top floor with a 30 m² terrace overlooking the iconic statue of the Virgin Mary in the Cathedral, this room features a jacuzzi and a cozy outdoor relaxation area. With an internal area of 130 m² and a neighboring 40 m² terrace room, it offers panoramic views and full privacy.
Montenapoleone Room: With an internal area of 180 m² and a 35 m² terrace, this room extends to a total area of 260 m² with two bedrooms leading onto the terraces. Spacious veranda-style living areas blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, ideal for hospitality.
Brera Room: Located on the ground floor, this room emphasizes intimacy while preserving Capriotti’s signature elements—balance, delicate detailing and cozy modernity.
Materials and Atmosphere
The interiors celebrate authentic materials and refined craftsmanship:
Dark bronze oak wood defines the architectural structure.
Verde Alpi marble contrasts with wood, creating a dialogue of elegance and durability.
Silk wallpaper in pearl-gray recalls the tradition of silk weaving in Milan, complemented by Italian light walnut paneling.
Neutral tones dominate, with accents of yellow, orange and petroleum green—colors rooted in Milan’s cultural palette.
Lighting plays a key role, providing soft shadows and precise atmosphere.
Individually designed furniture sits alongside works by legendary Italian designers, enhancing the cultural context of each room.
Hybrid Space Between Interior and Exterior
On the sixth floor, Capriotti introduced a flexible wooden roof that separates the interior from the terrace. These outdoor relaxation zones, furnished with sofas and greenery, expand the experience of Milan’s rooftops into a private, elevated sanctuary.
With these new rooms, Park Hyatt Milano continues its tradition of luxury rooted in Milanese culture, offering spaces that blend history, contemporary design and quiet elegance. Flaviano Capriotti Architetti has created interiors that are elegant yet timeless, ensuring the hotel remains a symbol of design hospitality in the city.
