An unusual literary café Lattice Book House, designed by Scenic Architecture studio, can be visited in Shanghai, China.
Lattice Book House is a literary café. Sitting in any corner of the building, one can contemplate fragile book landscapes displayed on lattice shelves against the backdrop of surrounding branches and leaves. The building artificially reproduces the spatial structure of a forest and broadly creates a symbiotic relationship between abstract and concrete.
Architects conceptually integrated the construction, furniture, and spatial volume into a single whole, making the building a physical information carrier capable of establishing current relationships between scale, space, and perception. According to designers, this relevance is the beginning of architectural thinking.
