Upper Sentong Congress Center, designed by Tetrarc agency in western France, is intended to address several tasks. Bringing together events related to business, culture, and leisure of residents, this public facility has become a catalyst for dynamic development of the entire area.
The southern facade features a light-filled gallery reaching maximum height in the area around the theater hall, the central element of the entire composition. The building also includes a large multi-purpose space, restaurant, bar, and technical services.
The completely open layout of the multi-purpose hall allows for hosting a variety of events—from exhibitions, public debates, and discussions to significant anniversary or family ceremonies. Large curtains create an atmosphere of acoustic comfort, allowing the stone steps carved out of limestone to be hidden or revealed as needed, forming a small open-air amphitheater.
The theater hall designed for 500 seats offers an elegant space for hosting high-level performances. Wave-like wooden panels conceal technical equipment and ensure perfect acoustics through carefully calculated reverberation effects. The asymmetric shape of the auditorium appears at first glance to be the result of rich architectural imagination, but in reality, it is the outcome of precise calculations that guarantee outstanding sound quality within the space.
