Interior with Japanese Touches in a Melbourne Home
Designers working on this Melbourne home project had to satisfy the international taste of its owners. In their modern house, they wanted to bring forth ideas inherent to Japanese aesthetics: minimalism, calm color palette, and a love for nature. The last point is especially relevant here, as there are two gardens — one at the entrance and another in the backyard. They are a pleasure to admire through large windows. There are also completely traditional elements in the interior — a Japanese bathroom and a meditation room. However, the owners chose not to go all the way east, leaving enough space for modern and practical solutions. For example, the marble kitchen is very impressive. A great embodiment of the idea of mixing cultures within one interior!
