The Hoxton Hotel: English Comfort in Brooklyn19 photos
The British hotel chain The Hoxton opened its first U.S. hotel. The 175-room hotel is located in a building that once housed a factory destroyed by fire in 2009, in Brooklyn, New York. Despite its scale, The Hoxton managed to preserve what's most important — English comfort. Designers created cozy, home-like interiors for the rooms and common areas, blending various textures, shades, and styles. There are definitely elements of industrial design here, but it's softer than typical New York lofts. Even if you don't stay at this hotel, it's definitely worth visiting for lunch to admire Manhattan from the rooftop terrace.
