Hotel Parc Broekhuizen: modern motifs in an 18th-century manor house in the Netherlands
The interior designers of Hotel Parc Broekhuizen in Utrecht, Netherlands, did not hesitate to blend 18th-century classical interiors with modern furniture and minimalism. The interestingly shaped furniture here blends perfectly with frescoes and tapestries, while a somewhat cosmic bathroom is placed on a marble pedestal right in the center of the grand bedroom. The corridor was painted green, with flowers in pots placed above, and in one of the rooms a carpet reminiscent of subjects from Louis XVI era paintings was laid down. The hotel features an exquisite restaurant, a bar with unique cocktails, and the park adjacent to the hotel is part of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park — the second largest national park in the Netherlands.
