Gotham Hotel in Manchester is not about pastel tones, cute paintings on the walls and tulips in vases. Here, black, metal and bold prints reign. The hotel is located right in the city center in an Art Deco-style building that used to house a bank. In memory of this, the hotel uses laundry bags shaped like old money sacks. The hotel also pays homage to Batman, as Gotham (the hotel's name) is a fictional city where the superhero's stories take place. The overall style here is also inspired by Batman: dark colors, dim lighting and telling details like the 'do not disturb' sign shaped like a bat. There are various room types (a total of 60): brighter ones with vibrant accents, and a luxury suite called Inner Sanctum — featuring a cinema and leather walls. The hotel is also famous for its rooftop bar, proudly calling itself «the sexiest hotel in Europe».
