Bold Interior with Art Pieces in Toronto
Expanding the kitchen in this Toronto home turned into an exciting journey, transforming the house into a remarkable art object. Moving from room to room, one can notice how each artwork sets the rhythm and tone of the space. Sometimes it's a painting, sometimes a sculpture, and in one of the rooms there is even a taxidermy white peacock. The 'exhibits' here are quite unusual, just like the interior itself, which blends classic elements with modern, retro and even grunge styles. The home is adorned with paintings by contemporary artists George Condo, Mikaela Thomas and Alex Katz. In this interior, even the unlikely combination of Tiffany blue with leopard print doesn't seem wild. The glassed-in porch with a view of the garden resembles glass enclosures in a zoo, as if a leopard might jump through the glass or a bright-winged parrot flaps its wings. We found the splash carpet in the study and the palm-shaped armchair particularly beautiful in this interior. What did you like about this space?
