Studio Felipe Assadi Arquitectos designed Casa Manns, a 297 square meter home in Sapallar, Chile. The residence is a rectangular pavilion that overhangs a slope. Thin metal columns support a large block containing the main living spaces. The entrance to the house is designed below, surrounded by a lush garden. The internal layout demonstrates the privileged placement of the day space relative to the bedrooms. For example, the living room is combined with the kitchen, dining area, barbecue zone, and terrace with a pool offering an ocean view, while the bedrooms are located in the back courtyard area with a limited view toward the hill. The house was built using reinforced concrete, steel, and wood, with pine plywood dominating the interior finishes.
