Hidden in the Landscape House in Greece

The studio deca ARCHITECTURE designed an interesting mansion in the village of Agia Galini, in the southern part of the island of Crete, Greece. The private residence with a total area of 393 square meters is located just 165 nautical miles from the Sahara desert. The concrete structure mirrors the topography of the hill and blends perfectly into its surroundings. Architects provided shaded areas and surfaces for solar panels, as well as ensured good ventilation in interiors and protection of the garden with citrus trees and edible plants in the internal courtyard. At the same time, the project's authors aimed to preserve the landscape and reuse materials as much as possible.
