Project bureau vanOmmeren-architecten presented a house on water in the city of Harlem in western Netherlands. The house facade is made of zinc, aluminum, glass, steel and wood. The design reflects the client's wishes, who wanted the house to generate more energy than it consumed. This is achieved through solar energy generation using panels on the roof and a heat pump in the concrete structure. In addition, the clients wanted to wake up with a view of the meadow, read by the window, cook and eat with a view of the water, and relax on the terrace.
