Cozy House in Old Barn in France

English furniture designer Russell Pinch often visited this family estate in western France as a child, but only recently he and his wife decided to renovate the old cattle barn on the property into a cozy home. First, the family cleared out all the clutter and removed unnecessary partitions in the old building to see what could be achieved. The open space pleased the owners so much that they chose to leave most of it untouched, creating many options for shared activities. Of course, the stone walls were preserved, and the interiors were softened with modern furniture, including pieces designed by Russell himself. Beautiful and cozy!
