200-year-old cottage on the south coast of England
The design bureau Paul Cashin Architects transformed a 200-year-old cottage with a view of Chichester Harbour on the south coast of England. The 280 square meter space was gradually expanded over many years through bulky extensions. The new homeowners initially wanted only to partially restore the cottage, renovating the library, guest bedrooms and bathrooms. Then the architects were challenged — to navigate the maze of rooms and corridors, open up the space and create calm and protected rooms facing the water.
