House for Two Families in Dnepro by SVOYA studio

The blocked house Svoya Vezha was designed by architects from SVOYA studio for two families and is located on a compact plot of 600 square meters in Dnepro, Ukraine. Its minimalist form and close attachment to the红线 (red line) allow preserving an uncluttered space of the internal courtyard. The lightweight frame fence allows blurring the boundaries of the plot.

The minimalist architecture is accentuated by a combination of expressive finishing materials — corrugated sheet, transitioning from the roof to the facades and laminated plywood. The house structure is made of gas concrete with a wooden roof frame.

On the first floor, there is a spacious hall with natural lighting and storage system, technical room, guest bathroom, guest bedroom, and open space with a kitchen, dining area, and living room with a staircase leading to the second floor. On the upper level, two bedrooms, a wardrobe, and a bathroom are planned. All rooms are filled with light due to the abundance of windows and orientation towards the internal courtyard and the boulevard in front of the house. The interior complements the architecture and emphasizes its configuration from inside. The second light in the living room area fully realizes this principle.

To ensure diversified orientation for relaxation in the living room, a custom sofa was designed that allows gathering large groups. The kitchen area is equipped with an ergonomic SOUL kitchen, which received the prestigious Red Dot award, featuring sufficient hidden storage systems and an open, minimalist space for cooking. The lifestyle of the homeowners includes frequent guests in the house, for whom black lacquered benches Plus-Plus from SVOYA studio were designed. Artistic decorative elements and contemporary art give the interior an individual character. The work “Karakal” by Kateryna and Valeriy Kuznetsov creates a unique light and shadow play in the staircase space. The artistic composition by Daniil Galkin provides a color and graphic accent in the interior. Additionally, the handmade ceramic vases Raise collection harmonizes well with natural textures.
