Olson Kundig Architects' project studio presented a private house located in harmony with its rich natural surroundings in Portland, Oregon, USA. Built for a gardener, it offers a warm and comfortable living space for a multi-generational family and provides the opportunity to enjoy views of surrounding gardens and hills.

From the entrance, a long gallery hallway separates the sleeping area from the living room zone and showcases the owners' art collections, which in turn extend into the main living spaces. Here is a rich collection of Asian porcelain and Leo Adams' paintings in the dining room. Cedar wood walls, pine floors, and a stone fireplace add texture and warmth to the interior, even a touch of rustic sophistication, while the owners' antique and modern furniture shape the final character of the space.
