Stunning Modern House in Former Barn in England
Few residents of the small town of Henley, located just 45 minutes from London, could have imagined that an old 100-year-old barn could look like this. Several years ago, architect McLaren Excell created a true miracle — transforming the ugly duckling building into a magnificent example of modern architecture or simply stylish contemporary housing. The first floor features a fully open-plan layout, with exposed wooden beams on the ceilings, and large industrial windows letting in maximum natural daylight into the rooms. The upper level houses a cozy attic bedroom and bathroom. A unique and memorable house!
