Country House of 14 Square Meters in Lithuania17 photos
The country house Etno Hut, designed by the studio Utopium, is a compact 14 square meter option suitable for various scenarios. It can be used for romantic getaways, as a creative studio, a hotel room, or a yoga camp in the breathtaking Lithuanian nature. Everything started with a personal architectural project and a desire to create a home that is minimal in size but still able to meet the basic needs of two people.
Minimal impact on nature was the key principle. The steel foundation of the building is manually embedded into the ground, and the entire structure is made from SIP panels and assembled on-site in just 3 days. The area around the house is partially enclosed to hide cables and pipes, while the rest is used for storage.
The house features a fully equipped mini kitchen, a sleeping area with an additional pull-out bed, and a bathroom with a spacious shower cabin. The project's architect, Ema Butrimavičiūtė, opted out of transformable furniture, eliminated stair landings, and anything that would make this tiny house complicated or uncomfortable to use.
