Weekend Villa in Indonesia
Built on the hills of Bandung in Indonesia, the private home EH Residence was designed by the studio Andramatin. The weekend villa with a total area of 390 square meters was created for a mother and her children. It features three bedrooms and several zones for shared relaxation and leisure, connected by a unified balcony. The residence is secluded from the road and isolated by dense pine trees, yet fully opens up to a downward slope and a city view in the southern part of the plot.
The cool regional climate is balanced in the project through the use of various types of wood, which ensures comfort and a sense of warmth within the retreat residence.
Multiple levels are created to meet privacy needs. On the first floor of the villa, service zones and two bedrooms facing south are planned. The second level houses the living room, dining area, kitchen, main bedroom, and a reading room in the mezzanine. These areas are separated by a fireplace and sliding glass doors that open daily, leading to a long balcony. A skylight in the uniquely shaped wooden roof welcomes sunlight, filling the space with additional warmth.
