House in the Canadian Mountains
House in the Canadian Mountains
Project bureau Thellend Fortin Architectes presented a private house Long Horizontals located in Petit-Rivière-Saint-François, Canada. The magnificent landscape of the Saint Laurent River estuary visible from the rocky cape where it is situated served as inspiration for the 490 square meter residence.
The house stands on a steep slope and is fully open toward the river and nature, yet very unobtrusive from the street side. Bedrooms are designed on the lower level, and the daytime zone spaces are characterized by varying heights and openness depending on their intended use.
