The studio mia2/ARCHITEKTUR designed a quite simple, but very bright and cozy house. Built on a slope in the Alpine region of Roslaieten, Austria, it harmoniously blends with the surrounding environment.

What attracts most attention is the compact black roof, which balances on a pale pine body of the main block. Under this sharp-roofed structure are designed bedrooms and bathrooms with a mountain view. The circular window glows like the moon in the night sky, while the downstairs living area resembles a lightbox with glass doors.

The house was designed to be eco-friendly and budget-conscious. The architects used a clean palette of materials and simple colors. Pale wooden walls, polished concrete floors, and glass partitions are the basic elements that created this beautiful home.
