Built in the 1930s, this building was originally a tobacco factory, then a metalworking shop, and now it is the mini-hotel Masseria Diso in the charming rural area of Diso, Italy. The transformation of the space was carried out by architect Raffaello Centonze.

The back courtyard, where crops were once dried, now presents a meticulously designed strip of eternal greenery with a long narrow pool whose water reflects the sky like a mirror—calm and pure, as if it has always been here.

The interior features carefully curated local, ethnic, industrial, design, vintage, and modern artworks that the owners collected from all over the world. They look as though they are part of an art exhibition inspired by the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, which emphasizes the beauty, simplicity, and imperfection.

The glass, iron, and restored wood entrance door highlights the industrial soul of the building. What used to be a place of continuous work is now a temple of absolute relaxation.
