Wooden Modular House in the Swiss Alps
Wooden Modular House in the Swiss Alps
Montebar Residence is a modular wooden house designed by JM Architecture and located in picturesque Swiss Alps, where sunshine greets you all year round. In this magical place, silence alternates with echoes of mooing cows from a distant pasture, while a gentle breeze sways tree branches and grass, bringing sweet and fragrant air to the house.
This modular home features a living room, three bedrooms, an office, two bathrooms, a laundry room, a technical room, and storage spaces all on one floor, except for two children's bedrooms with double height and attic space with a bed and TV.
The house is built from heat-insulated wooden elements perfectly suited for this type of climate, and the entire structure was assembled in just a few days. The cladding material is a ventilated facade with ceramic granite tiles and an invisible mounting system. A significant part of the design process was dedicated to studying several options for external cladding to achieve flat surfaces and a simple form. The hexagonal roof is tilted toward the mountain for better integration with the landscape.
High energy efficiency standards in the project ensure low maintenance costs throughout the four seasons.
