House on the Cliff in Norway
Studio Lie Øyen Arkitekter realized the project of a vacation house in the village of Nipe in southern Norway. To avoid damaging the cliff while leveling the plot, it was decided to base the main floor on concrete pillars. As a result, the 88 square meter residence is perfectly integrated into the landscape, with its lower part used for storage, jacuzzi, and hammock.
The main volume is built in such a way that it allows enjoying the views of the fjord to the south and contemplating the open landscape to the east. The main bedroom and living space open onto a covered terrace to the west, while low windows offer views of pine trees to the north.
