Environmentally Harmonious House in Sweden
The Wennerström Villa was designed by the studio Max Holst Arkitektkontor for a private client and built in rural areas east of Stockholm, Sweden. The hilly terrain with visible granite rocks, beautiful landscapes, and diverse trees around inspired the architects to create a clear house form that fits the established context and harmonizes with the environment, while simultaneously creating contrast with the organic landscape. This was achieved through a repetitive facade scheme and simple geometry, as well as a solution to divide the program into two volumes.
