Studio López & López Arquitectos designed the private Rumilahua house at the foot of Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador. The 450 square meter building was created as an extension of a smaller main house already located on the scenic estate. It is characterized by an ochre-colored reinforced concrete frame with an unusual texture obtained using eucalyptus formwork.
