Project bureau PAO Architects presented the Black Box House residence — a modern family home in the style of northern minimalism, located in one of the prestigious residential areas of Vilnius, Lithuania. The plot is perfectly balanced in terms of orientation, offering views of the river, pine forest, and urban panorama, which in the evenings are enveloped by impressive sunsets.

The facade of the house is clad in black-lacquered larch wood. In the interior, Scandinavian minimalism contrasts with custom-made furniture and finishing materials, playing on the oppositions of cold and warm, light and dark. The principles of sustainability and comfort dominate the home—there are no unnecessary or irrelevant details.
