Traditional Christmas Decor for a Family Nest in Michigan
Kristin and Guy with their children live in Chicago, but they also have a lovely vacation home in a small town in the state of Michigan. This is a small farm cottage, and for Christmas decor they usually choose a traditional red-green palette. The wood from which much of the house is made blends beautifully with bright tones, checks, and fir branches. No corner was left without decorations: a vibrant textile, lamps, and red dishes were placed in the kitchen, and the bathroom was adorned with fir branches and holiday accents. The old sign «Michigan Apples», which decorates the wall in the hallway, was also transformed for the Christmas theme — it was decorated with a fir garland and apples, and winter accessories were arranged around it: hats, throws, and thermoses. Very atmospheric and cozy!
