Alexey Nikolashin, representing the architectural studio SL*project, designed a two-story penthouse in the prestigious Wine House residential complex in Moscow.

The two-story, two-light apartment with a terrace was more like a country house. The architect's task was to transform this atypical space for the capital into harmonious, cozy, and bright housing for a quite refined person who is well-versed in modern design and interested in art.

The penthouse area is 180 square meters, so when working on an interesting staircase that became one of the main wishes of the client, it was important to design it correctly, not taking up extra space, not overloading the complex space, and connecting it into a whole. It had to serve as an accent in the interior at the same time and remain airy and weightless. As a result, a white metal structure with floating steps in the air was created.
