Villa in the 'Millionaire's Settlement' in Israel45 photos
Villa designed by archiFETO Studio is located in Pitahia—a prestigious neighborhood of Herzliya, Israel, known as the 'millionaire's settlement'.
The building is surrounded by a decorative pool that softens the encounter between private home space and the public street area. The water feature is enclosed by a light low metal fence and green hedge, creating a pleasant intermediary zone.
The 320 square meter construction is designed as two boxes connected by a 'transport artery' that starts from the iron fence at the entrance to the plot, continues through a long and tall space crossing the interior of the house, and ends with a staircase connecting the three levels of the villa (two main floors and a basement).
The living room on the first floor is fully glazed from floor to ceiling, smoothly flowing into the patio area with the pool. A roller blind built into the ceiling can be used to darken this area when needed. The parquet floor extends into the garden as a wooden terrace, creating a sense of unified space.
The living room area is shaded by a covered balcony of the master bedroom located on the second floor. The balcony can be closed not only with glass doors but also with vertical wooden slats, which in addition to their aesthetic qualities serve a functional purpose by controlling the amount of sunlight entering the room.
