Luxury Villa on the Mediterranean Coast of Lebanon
The Kali Villa, which architects from two firms — BLANKPAGE Architects and Karim Nader Studio — worked on for four years, is located on the Mediterranean coast in the city of Monsef, Lebanon.
The architects took as a basis the concept of a traditional Eastern coastal house — a building with several bedrooms surrounding an open inner courtyard with a fountain.
The composition consists of two volumes formed by a series of overlapping horizontal planes. Each of these becomes the foundation for creating various spaces.
The lower, public level includes a large living room and gym, transitioning into a series of terraces with pools that extend to the shoreline. The two upper floors provide bedrooms and family lounges. The striking suspended terrace in the intermediate space is equally open to both the garden behind the house and the sea.
The final layer of this horizontal composition is an expansive roof with gardens and terraces located on it.
