Despite its undeniable merits, the building unfortunately did not receive the status of a cultural heritage object and by the beginning of the 21st century had fallen into a deplorable state, effectively facing demolition. Most likely, this would have happened if in 2013 the architect Stefan Antoni, director of SAOTA company, had not purchased the house.
Thorough and delicate restoration carried out by SAOTA specialists brought the building back to its original condition, emphasized its overall composition and significantly improved the living environment, aligning it with modern requirements.
Changes also affected the configuration of the external space, including moving the pool from the darker mountain side to the sunny area of the site with a sea view. This freed up the inner courtyard, which became a family garden with a green lawn and several black elderberry bushes.
All these changes served to significantly enhance the impression of the house. Notably, when Colin, the author of the original project, saw the building after completion of its restoration, he was satisfied with the result.
