Inspiration for new ideas in loft-style interior design can be drawn from the Voltaire project by SABO project studio founded by Alex Delaunay.

The island countertop is clad with 40 anodized aluminum sheets, perforated in the spirit of modern design and mounted on a metal frame. The manipulation of perforated blinds offers the possibility of the most whimsical lighting and privacy scenarios.

Concrete columns and ceiling create an interesting contrast with a soft sofa, light wood furniture, wooden plank flooring, and modern paintings placed on long gray radiators with French carefree style. The same shade of gray is characteristic of both the sofa and a small plush rug in front of it.

The hidden becomes visible when some of the 40 panels open to reveal the 'contents' of the island: a bedroom with a bathroom, decorated only by the play of light penetrating through the holes in the perforation. Minimalist furniture includes just a simple armchair, a spacious white cabinet, and a small bedside table.

The central island in this apartment holds another secret. Hidden inside are mezzanines with a second bedroom under the ceiling, accessible to natural light from large windows in the main area.

Furniture in the open kitchen zone is designed in a white color palette, interrupted by a wall above the countertop made of tiles with modern white and blue motifs. The kitchen area is visually separated from the living room by a light wood dresser.
