House at the Peak of a Mountain Range in Brazil
The architectural firm Una Arquitetos built a private house at the peak of the Serra-da-Mantiqueira mountain range in Brazil. The modern residence with a total area of 545 square meters is located on a clearing and surrounded by forest on all sides. The sloped terrain determined the design approach, aiming for a continuous dialogue with nature.
A staircase leads to the upper level, where the hall features glass walls that stop visitors between floors and inspire them with the beauty of the surrounding nature.
Perpendicular to the concrete block of the first floor lies a rectangular black metal structure housing two additional bedrooms with bathrooms and a main studio with a bathroom, walk-in closet, and terrace.
The open rooftop terrace of the concrete block is designed for relaxation – it includes a swimming pool and pond with vegetation.
