Two-Story Residence in the Israeli City of Tiberias

Each room of this two-story residence in the Israeli city of Tiberias, presented by Golany Architects, offers captivating views of the Galilee landscapes. The open building zones facing south and east are protected from intense sunlight by wooden shutters. The shutters can be adjusted according to the sun's position and personal preferences of the residents.

The facade design represents a modern interpretation of a romantic balcony. The open openings in the facades ensure continuity between nearby landscapes and distant panoramic views of the Sea of Galilee, Mount Hermon, and the Old City of Tsfat.

The structure sits on a small plot of only 500 square meters, making the two-story design an optimal solution to leave more space around the dwelling. Well-preserved old olive trees and oaks serve as a direct addition to the garden. Both the house and garden appear as free, natural extensions of the surrounding landscape.
