Villa on the Ionian Sea37 photos

MGXM Architects studio designed a luxurious villa on the shore of the Mesinakos Bay in the Ionian Sea, Greece.

The main volume includes two levels with living areas on the first floor and a convenient bedroom on the second. Large openings on both levels maintain a sense of open space throughout the residence.

The interior atmosphere is shaped by the view of the panoramic pool, framed by the sea blue and the silhouette of the Taygetus Mountains in the distance. This harmony of the landscape is accentuated by the use of natural materials. The same dark Argollian marble is used for the entrance area, patio, and pool railing ending in a waterfall flowing toward the sea. Large marble slabs—polished or matte depending on their purpose—are used for flooring. Small marble tiles are used for bathroom cladding.
