Cave House in South Tyrol
A private house designed by the studio bergmeisterwolf in the small town of Noištadt in South Tyrol, Italy, resembles a rock formation emerging from the ground. The new 300 square meter building is constructed next to an old rural house and rises above vineyards, offering its inhabitants a picturesque view of a medieval monastery nearby.
The newly formed interior courtyard has become a cozy center of the house.
The interior's character is defined by warm wooden cladding and the play of spaces with varying heights and configurations.
