See and Touch: Hotel with an Interesting Concept in Paris
The National des Arts et Métiers hotel is located right in front of the Museum of Art and Crafts in Paris. Moreover, the interior was designed by designer and artist Raphaël Navarro — these two factors helped create not just a hotel, but a unique and very interesting one. The reason is that Navarro prefers to use natural materials and various textures in interiors, which results in an abundance of different fabrics, textures, and materials.
A smooth wall combined with rough plaster, a "ribbed" column and a flat mirror surface, linen and velvet, glass and stone, and many more contrasting details — all of it makes you want to touch it. This "tactility" is the main feature of the hotel, and it's not forced or artificial, but organic, making the hotel even more captivating!
