Villas in Caldas de Malavella
Residential complex La Pineda, consisting of a series of villas located in the municipality of Caldas de Malavella, Spain, was designed by studio Jaime Prous Architects.
Each house, with an area of 320 square meters, is formed by two volumes connected by a glass vestibule. L-shaped building plans form central courtyards; thanks to them and panoramic window glazing, the landscape penetrates into the villa interiors.
Pergolas increase the size of the houses, visually blending them into the surrounding nature and diffusing sunlight, thus creating a rich play of light and shadow.
The houses are divided into three levels. The basement is dedicated to technical areas such as garage, laundry room, storage, and engineering equipment. On the first floor are the main bedroom and common area (living room — dining room — kitchen), flooded with light thanks to sliding windows that disappear into the wall and expand the space toward the garden and pool.
On the second floor, there are three more rooms, including a large bedroom with an outstanding view over the golf course.
