Koda Modular Homes by Kodasema Studio21 photos
The Estonian studio Kodasema has developed compact modular homes that can be installed in any, most unexpected locations, enhancing the appeal of even temporarily abandoned urban spaces. Elegant micro-units create comfortable living and working spaces that can be used for housing or business purposes — as hotels, cafes, studios, and public areas.
In the interiors, architects use CLT panels made from softwood spruce. Finished with natural oils and waxes, the wood becomes friendly both to people and the environment.
The concrete used in the structures is three times stronger than regular concrete and becomes even more robust over time. The striking texture of the panels is achieved by casting concrete using old yacht sails, which create a unique pattern on the surface.
