The owners of this house in Bridgewater, Long Island, New York always dreamed of a classic farmstead like this one. However, by the time they found it, they already had an apartment and a country home. Nevertheless, the 1840s-built building so enchanted them that the deal was closed within a day of viewing. Moreover, in the mid-19th century, a small local school was located in the house's wing, giving the building additional historical significance.
