Layered House in Brazil

A private house in the city of Brganga-Paulista, Brazil, designed by Jacobsen Arquitetura studio on the highest part of the site, which creates the possibility for wide spacious views of the surrounding landscape and reduces interference from neighboring buildings.
The volume located closer to the entrance consists of a living room, joined with the dining room and kitchen, a TV room and a spa area. These rooms open up to a wide terrace, which provides a magnificent view and is protected from the sun in the afternoon due to a canopy. Here is also a pool with a solarium. The second volume is located at the back of the plot and is occupied by the owners' and guests' bedrooms. This part of the house faces the sunrise and has a wide covered terrace.
The basis of the building is a layered structure made of thin wooden elements, which allowed architects to achieve a sense of lightness and near transparency.
