Villa Among Healing Springs in Japan
Villa Among Healing Springs in Japan
This villa, built in the mountains of Kyushu, Japan, known as a summer resort with hot healing springs, was designed by architects of Atelier KAN studio.
The horizontal silhouette of the villa creates a striking contrast to the natural landscape with its vertical rows of trees, which is the basis of the architectural concept of the project.
The combination of simple concrete surfaces forms a geometric structure with large glazed areas facing the bay. A long ribbon of panoramic windows with a terrace hanging over the slope resembles a beam of moonlight breaking through the darkness in the evening.
