Retro+Fit Design studio designed this large private house on a steep hillside slope with breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the outlook. The client is a construction company planning to sell the house later, so the layout had to be as flexible as possible to appeal to as many potential buyers as possible.

Outwardly protruding parts of the structure help maximize views of the picturesque valley spreading below and give the building a angular silhouette.

Designers finished the facades with tinted cypress wood that helps the house visually blend into the surrounding forest.
