Guest House Over Lake Garda44 photos
The architecture studio Titus Bernhard Architekten designed a guest house on a steep slope in Garniano, Italy, at nearly 300 meters above Lake Garda's surface.
The impressive panoramic pool, blending into the blue of the lake and sky, follows the contours of the plot.
In the strict architecture of the building itself, minimalist simplicity and clean lines are combined with traditional dry-stone walling, giving the house a sensual and tactile character.
A warm and idyllic atmosphere is created by the abundance of wooden textures, handwoven textiles, and the combination of open stone masonry and rough whitewash in the interior.
Simple rectangular window openings emphasize the thickness of the stone walls and offer breathtaking views over the lake, mountains, and park.
The landscape and building, nature and artifacts are in symbiosis, offering people the feeling of being at home in this magical corner.
